After launching two different campaigns, we came face to face with the disease that plagues most grassroots movements: entering advocacy blind. We did not know how to market, how to reach out to partners, what a joint statement even was, or how to secure funding. As a result, we spent most of our time rummaging through the internet, trying to figure out how to do everything, only to encounter watered-down guides built on one-size-fits-all approaches.

Without realizing it, we spent more time figuring out the backend work needed to support our advocacy than actually fighting for change. So many advocates with bold ideas face the same challenge: unsure how to build momentum, gain traction, or advocate effectively. This often leads to stalled progress or, worse, the abandonment of powerful ideas before they ever have a chance to grow.
